Predictions at Wells in South Park

The results presented in the linked pages are predictions made by the Applicant's groundwater model. This model was developed by Jehn Water Consultants (JWC) specifically to support the application for water rights filed by the Park County Sportsmen's Ranch, LLP. The model and supporting data were produced to the Objectors in the 96CW014. All the groundwater elevation information displayed on this site is based on information produced by the applicant.

The area covered by the applicant's model is described here. The information presented on this site show groundwater model results obtained by the Applicant for the historical period from October 1, 1959 through September 30, 1996, as well as predictions made for the "future" period October 1, 1996 through September 30, 2090. The "future" period represents operation of the proposed SPCUP project. It must be stressed that these results are extracted from the Applicant's model which in our opinion is fatally flawed. The actual impacts to wells will be much greater in some locations, and might be smaller in others.

For an explanation of what is shown on the result pages, as well as help on navigating the site and an explanation of terms, please see the Help page. A link to the help page is also shown at the bottom of each page.

The results can be accessed using one of three methods:

  1. Select the well from a map. The map shows all the wells identified by the Applicant. Clicking on the well will retrieve information about that well.
  2. Select the well from a list sorted by owner name. The list contains the permit number and owner name as listed in the State Engineer's Office well permit file.
  3. Select the well from a list sorted by permit number. The list contains the permit number and owner name as listed in the State Engineer's Office well permit file.
